OBJECTIVES

The objective of Sanjeevni Club , affiliated with Dronacharya College, is

to promote spirituality ,yoga, ethics, and social and moral values among

student and the community. The Club aims to :-

  1. Enhance spiritual Awareness :- Foster a deeper understanding and

practice of spiritual principle and meditation techniques .

  1. Encourage yoga practice :- promote physical and mental well-being

through regular yoga session and workshops .

  1. Instill Ethical values :- Cultivate a strong sense of ethics and integrity

in personal and professional life .

  1. Promote social Responsibility :- Engage in activity that benefit the

community and develop a sense of social responsibility .

  1. Strengthen moral values :- Emphasize the importance of moral

values in everyday life and decision making .

Through these objectives ,the Sanjeevni Club seeks to create a holistic

development environment for student , enriching their lives both

academically and personally .

CONSTITUTION AND BY LAWS

ARTICLE I: NAME & OBJECTIVES

  1. Enhance spiritual Awareness :- Foster a deeper understanding and

practice of spiritual principle and meditation techniques .

  1. Encourage yoga practice :- promote physical and mental well-being

through regular yoga session and workshops .

  1. Instill Ethical values :- Cultivate a strong sense of ethics and integrity

in personal and professional life .

  1. Promote social Responsibility :- Engage in activity that benefit the

community and develop a sense of social responsibility .

  1. Strengthen moral values :- Emphasize the importance of moral

values in everyday life and decision making .

Through these objectives ,the Sanjeevni Club seeks to create a holistic

development environment for student , enriching their lives both

academically and personally .

Some other objective :-

  1. To create awareness among students on physical ,mental health and

hygiene.

  1. To promote physical and mental health and hygiene among students

through stimulating programmes.

  1. To promote and preserve Indian values through empowering guest talks

and events.

  1. To conduct meditation yoga for promoting holistic ,physical and mental

well being.

  1. To conduct spiritual and personal development programs for holistic

development.

ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP & DUES

  1. Membership in the club shall be open to all students of Dronacharya

College.

  1. Candidates must have specific skills like yoga,meditation,healthy etc.
  2. Eligibility for membership shall not be restricted on the basis of race,

sex, color, age,

religion, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or

mental handicap.

MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS

Ordinary Member

Subscription for ordinary members shall be Rs. 50.

Lifetime Member

One time subscription for life time members shall be Rs. 100.

Honorary Member

One time subscription for honorary members shall be Rs. 1000.

ARTICLE III: GOVERNING BODY

President, Vice-

President, Secretary, and Treasurer. They must be regular students.

Eligibility – To be eligible for office, candidates must be

regularly enrolled students who are full-time students, & have specific skills related to

the position, good communication etc.

Section C: Nomination – Nomination forms will be circulated among

interested students 2 days before the meeting.

Section D: Election – President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer

will be selected/elected on the basis of interview and voting as and when

required.

Term –. The governing body shall serve for one year and their

term of office shall

begin at the commencement of the first semester every year.

Vacancy –If a vacancy occurs in the office of President, the

Vice-President shall assume the office for the remainder of the term and

vacancies in any other office shall be filled by the choice of Sanjeevni

Club Co-ordinator.

Removal –. Governing body members may be removed from

office by a 2/3 vote ofactive members in the club.

  1. A request for removal of governing body member must be submitted in

writing to the president; this request can be submitted by any active

member of the club. If a member/officer is requesting to remove the

president, the request for removal letter may be submitted to the vice

president.

  1. The governing body receiving the removal request will then contact the

member in question for removal and explain the situation to them. The

member requesting removal will remain confidential through this process.

The president after consultation with the coordinator or advisor of the club

shall forward the case to principal for the arbitration or necessary action.

ARTICLE III: DUTIES OF OFFICERS

President – it shall be the duty of the President to:

  1. Preside at meetings.
  2. Vote only in case of tie.
  3. Dissemination of information regarding meeting and organization

of events.

  1. Delegation of task and assignment to other members.
  2. Preparation of the activity report.
  3. To act as a leader for execution of various events / tasks.

Vice-President – It shall be the duty of the Vice-President to:

  1. Preside in the absence of the President.
  2. Serve as chairperson of the Program Committee as and when required.

Section C: Secretary – It shall be the duty of the Secretary to:

  1. Record the minutes of all meetings
  2. Keep a file of the club’s records
  3. Maintain a current roster of membership
  4. Issue notices of meetings and conduct the general correspondence of

the club

Section D: Treasurer – It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to:

  1. Receive all funds and maintain income / expenditure register.
  2. Keep an itemized account of all receipts and expenditures and make

reports as directed.

  1. He/she will make a income and expenditure details at the end of

financial year .

ARTICLE IV: MEETINGS

Annual General Meeting – shall be held soon after the

commencement of the 1st session every year.

Governing Body Meeting –At least 3 meetings may be

conducted in a academic year.

special Meeting- may be called as and when required for both

governing and general body.

Quorum – A quorum shall consist of 2/3 of all active members.

An active member shall be identified as any member who has paid dues

except honorary and life time members.

ARTICLE VI: FUNDING

Section A: This club shall be funded through the following means:

  1. Membership collection- Membership fee collected from the newly

joint members of the committee.

  1. College funding- College Provides resource for various cultural

activities performed under Sanjeevni Club.

  1. Fund raising events – For the special events funds shall be collected

from students, management and stakeholder.

Section B: All money transactions must be approved by Sanjeevni club

Coordinator, President,Vice President, Secretary.

ARTICLE VII: ADVISOR / COORDINATOR

There shall be a faculty member who will act as an advisor or coordinator of the Sanjeevni Club.

Duties / Responsibilities – The responsibilities of the faculty

advisor shall be :

To help in organizing various activities and programs sponsored by the

student club.

To meet on a regular basis with the leader of the student club to discuss

Upcoming meetings, long-range plans, goals, and problems of the club.

To attend regular meetings, executive board meetings as often as

schedule allows.

To Explain and clarify campus policy and procedures that apply to the

club.

To help in making the activity report and assist the club treasurer in

monitoring expenditures, fundraising activities, and to maintain an

accurate and upto-date account ledger / register.

ARTICLE VIII: POWERS

  1. The club shall have the following standing committees:
  2. a) Yoga and meditation committee (3 member)
  3. b) Religious committee (3 members)
