A two days Faculty Development Programme ‘ASCENT’ was organised by Training and Development Cell in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell on 6th and 7th April, 2022 at Dronacharya P.G. College of Education, Rait. The theme of the programme was ‘Psychological Assessment Tools and Skill Enhancement for Professional Transformation’. Programme was initiated by Asst. Prof. Anish Korla and he told about the objectives of faculty development programme to all the faculty members. The chief guest of the event was Executive Director Dr. B. S. Pathania and resource persons were Dr. Parveen Kumar Sharma and Dr. Ashwani. Programme was commenced with lighting of lamp ceremony to Goddess Saraswati and bouquet was given to chief guest and resource persons. Asst. Prof. Sumit Sharma, HOD, B.Ed. welcomed chief guest, resource persons and all the faculty members in two day faculty development programme. Dr. B. S.Pathania highlighted the theme of faculty development programme and added that learning is a continuous process and every teacher must enrich and empower themselves time to time. Dr.B.S.Pathania also took a meditation session to relax the mind of the faculty members. In morning session, Dr. Ashwani Kumar aware about the Psychological Test and Tools. He said that there are various psychological tools to check the intelligence, interests, aptitude and attitude of the individuals. He also took a practical session on Thematic Apperception Test in which all the faculty members participated actively. Principal Dr.Parveen Kumar Sharma initiated the afternoon session. He explained about the designing of the test and further added that for an accurate test it must need three standards that are standardisation, reliability and validity. He also told about the different methods and types of reliability and validity in a very effective way. After that there was a panel discussion to clarify the doubts and queries of faculty members. Dr. Poonam Devi, HOD, M.Ed. proposed a vote of thanks to Chief Guest Dr.B.S.Pathania and resource persons Principal Dr.Parveen Kumar Sharma and Dr. Ashwani Kumar and all the faculty members.
On second day, 7th April, 2022 session was initiated by Asst. Prof. Anish Korla. The resource person of the morning session was Asst. Prof. Rajesh Rana. A bouquet was given to resource person by HOD, B.Ed. Sh. Sumit Sharma. Asst. Prof. Kritika Katoch introduced the resource person. Asst. Prof. Rajesh Rana explained about using MS Excel for calculating passed, failed, present and absent students in any type of exam and all faculty members practically did it. In afternoon session, Mr. Shard Verma told about the college website development regarding different courses, list of staff, clubs and committees, news and events etc. to all the faculty members. In Valedictory Session, Chief Patron Sh. G. S. Pathania was present. Mr. Anish Korla acquaint the chief patron about the two day faculty development programme. All faculty members shared their experience what about they learned in two day faculty development programme. Chief Patron Sh. G. S. Pathania congratulated the whole team to make the event successful one. Asst. Prof. Sumit Sharma, HOD, B.Ed. proposed a vote of thanks to Chief Guest Managing Director Sh. G. S. Pathania and Principal Dr. Parveen Kumar Sharma, Training and Development Cell, Internal Quality Assurance Cell and all the faculty members.
