District Kangra, Weight-Lifting Championship 2017-18 (Men & Women Category Junior & Senior) Held at Dronacharya PG College of Education, Rait on dated 25th & 26th Nov, 2017.
Chief Guests for the Opening & Valedictory ceremony were Mr. Pardeep Sharma (President, HP Weightlifting Association) and Dr. K. C Kanwar (Retd. Principal, GDC UNA) respectively. The Special Guests of Honor were Mr. Rajesh Kumar (Assistant Prof. ICDEOL, HPU Shimla), Dr. Parveen (Associate Prof, GDC Ghumarwian) and Mr. Dyal Singh Thakur (Jila Parishad, Suliyali, Kangra). The Technical Officials were Dr. Ashwani Awasthi, Mr.Anil Kumar, Mr. Shivender Jamwal, Mr. Munish Kumar, Mr. Rajesh Kumar and Mr. Satish Dhiman.

The Best among women and Men weight lifters were Ms. Priya, GDC Dehri and Mr. Nirmal Singh GDC, Jawalaji.
